Originally known as the Farum Brigantium, it guided Roman ships navigating the treacherous Atlantic coast.
Over the centuries, it has been continuously used, undergoing various restorations that have preserved its remarkable heritage.
Architecturally, the tower is a masterpiece of Roman engineering, constructed from granite blocks and slate. Standing at approximately 57 meters (187 feet) tall, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the city from its summit.
